The Monterey Bay Air Resources District (MBARD) solicits written public comments on the initial preliminary decision to issue a banking certificate for emission reduction credits (ERCs) to CHEVRON USA INC. The ERC banking certificate will be for 2.965 tons per year of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) from the shutdown of eight steam generators. The evaluation report for this project is available below to download for  review.

Comments on this decision will be accepted for 30 days following the publication of this notice. Written comments can be emailed to Amy Clymo at aclymo@mbard.org or submitted to the address below and postmarked by Monday August 25, 2025.
